Mad Jack el pirata (1998) es una serie animada estadounidense de comedia y aventuras creada por Bill Kopp y dirigida por Jeff DeGrandis, los mismos responsables de Toonsylvania. Producida por Saban Entertainment, se emitió originalmente en Fox Kids y llegó a Latinoamérica con doblaje chileno, donde se convirtió en una joya retro del humor absurdo.
La historia sigue a Mad Jack, un pirata cobarde y egocéntrico que navega los mares en su barco “Mar Pollo” junto a Snuk, su torpe compañero antropomórfico. Cada episodio presenta desventuras llenas de monstruos, tesoros falsos y enemigos ridículos, todo con un tono paródico que recuerda a El Gato Félix y Ren & Stimpy. Con solo una temporada de 13 episodios, la serie dejó una huella en los fans del humor irreverente y la animación alternativa de los 90.
